Island artists are invited to submit their work by March 12 to be considered for purchase by the Provincial Art Bank.

The Provincial Art Bank collection includes 257 works of art by 123 Island artists. The art bank acquires, loans and displays art that was purchased or donated. Pieces are displayed in public buildings and spaces for Islanders to enjoy and are available for educational use.

“The art bank is just one way we continue to support and celebrate Island artists by having their art displayed and appreciated by Islanders across the province,” said Tourism and Culture Minister Matthew MacKay. “I encourage all local artists to submit work to be considered for the art bank.”

Provincial Art Bank purchases are made possible through provincial government funding of $10,000 annually. For information on how to apply or to become a jurist, call 902-368-6300 or visit princeedwardisland.ca/art-bank.
