Monday night may have been a nail-biter for some thanks to the Canadian federal election, and for others thanks to football — but for fanboys around the world, stomach butterflies were in full flight for the release of the final trailer of The Rise of Skywalker , which will wrap up the third Star Wars trilogy.
The clip sees the triumphant return of Rey, Finn, Poe and Chewbacca (all in the Millennium Falcon cockpit), along with appearances from Emperor Palpatine and Leia. Although Carrie Fisher died before filming began, unused footage of her appearances in the previous two films has been recycled for this one.
And, of course, there comes a highly anticipated Rey and Kylo Ren showdown.
