An Appleton man was arrested Wednesday as the result of a two-month long investigation.

On Sept. 18, the Federal Serious and Organzied Crime — Gander group performed a search of the residence of a 37-year-old man under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act. The man was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.

A number of items were seized during and include the following:

• Approximately 8 ounces of cocaine;

• 429 methamphetamine 'ICE' pills;

• A quantity of oxycodone pills;

• $8180.00 in Canadian currency;

• Two brass knuckles;

• One switchblade;

• One pound of marijuana;

• A 22-calibre prohibited handgun;

• Five long guns unsafely stored.

The man was scheduled to appear at Provnicial Court in Gander this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. where multiple charges was expected to be laid.

Police are conitnuing the investigation.
