The provincial government is accepting applications from individuals, community groups and non-profit organizations looking to develop projects or programs that promote positive mental health.
A total of $140,000 is available this year through the community addiction prevention and mental health promotion grants program.
To be eligible, all projects or programs must align with one or more of the following areas:
- Supporting young families;
- Preventing substance use related risks and harms;
- Suicide prevention, specifically with respect to stigma reduction; and
- Supporting positive mental health and wellness.
The application deadline is Dec.19, 2017.
Program funding is administered by the provincial government in partnership with the four regional health authorities.
The health authorities have staff available to assist with the application process and to answer any questions interested applicants may have.
