St. John’s, N.L. — A man who was sought on a Canada-wide warrant was arrested Thursday around noon in the centre of the city.
Police had been searching for the 27-year-old man since July. The RNC located him at a home in St. John’s where he tried to escape through a second-storey window, but he was chased down by police and apprehended.

As a result of the foot pursuit he was also charged with causing a disturbance, resisting arrest and uttering threats to the police officers.

He was conveyed to St. John’s City Lockup to await court.
