Authorities are being tight-lipped about an alleged drug bust over the weekend that reportedly involved a boat at a Halifax-area yacht club.

Ashley Lemire, spokeswoman for the Canada Border Services Agency national headquarters in Ottawa, said that as of Monday afternoon, she could not provide any more information.

“On this particular one, we're not ready to share details because we're still in an investigation phase, but we will be releasing some details later this week once things are sort of more wrapped up on our end,” Lemire said, adding that more testing needed to be done.

“There is an ongoing investigation.”

Nova Scotia RCMP referred questions on the file to the border agency.

The Chronicle Herald is not naming the yacht club because details of the incident have not been confirmed. Representatives of the club refused to comment when contacted.
