SYDNEY, N.S. — Nova Scotia Health Authority has confirmed that Dr. Dale Miller has resigned from both his interim position as Eastern Zone Medical Director and his role as site lead for the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, effective Friday.

Miller’s resignation follows a change in leadership request made by the Cape Breton Medical Staff Association, say sources. Miller will continue in his role as a urologist at the site.

The NSHA says interim appointments will begin next week.

Physicians may still seek assistance at the medical director's office where issues will be directed to the office of medical affairs.
