CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Since Thursday, March 4, Charlottetown police have responded to six separate complaints of large gatherings at residences in the city.
Three $1,000 tickets were issued in violation of section 39(8) of the Public Health Act which prohibits indoor personal gatherings in excess of six people.
- On March 4 at 8:05 p.m., a 40-year-old man was issued a violation ticket.
- On March 7 at 1:30 a.m., a 22-year-old man was issued a violation ticket.
- On March 7 at 4:35 a.m., a 24-year-old woman was issued a violation ticket.
The public is being reminded that COVID-19 restrictions are still in place and can be found on the P.E.I. Government website.
