CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — More benches and access to washroom facilities in outdoor areas are two of the issues Charlottetown’s seniors’ engagement committee says need addressing.
At a recent meeting of the committee, the need for more benches along the city’s portion of the Confederation Trail was identified.
In addition, the committee would like to see benches added to the trail system in Wright’s Creek.
As for washroom facilities, the committee said many seniors like to venture out for a morning walk around Victoria Park and are dismayed the facilities don’t open until 9 a.m. The committee would like to see washrooms open by 8 a.m.
There was also talk about the need for washroom facilities along the Confederation Trail.
