Motorbikes, cars, trucks and even big rigs streamed into Peggys Cove on Saturday in a thunderous tribute to the victims of April's shooting and arson rampage in Nova Scotia.
The memorial drive was organized by the son of Joy and Peter Bond, who were among the 22 victims. The procession left Chester - where the Bonds were from - at about noon and wended along Highway 3 to Tantallon and then to Peggys Cove for an early afternoon arrival.

Harry Bond said he figured more than 300 people signed up for the drive, which he led on his motorcycle.
“There were lots of people on the road ... and that made it more emotional,” Bond said in an interview in front of the Peggys Cove lighthouse, a favourite destination for his parents.
“You come around a corner and you see a couple dozen people with Nova Scotia or Canadian flags, signs with all the ... victims’ names to them, it really brought the waterworks. … It was a lot harder than I thought it would be.”
Still, Bond said the big turnout helped ease the grief of his loss, and he hoped it does the same for the other families.
