Man dies in single-vehicle ATV crash

Police on the Burin Peninsula are investigating an incident that happened Monday near Fortune, where a 62-year-old man died as a result of a single-vehicle ATV collision.

A 54-year-old man is dead after an all-terrain vehicle crash on Highway 374.

According to a police news release, Sheet Harbour RCMP responded to the single-vehicle collision at about 4:57 p.m. on Saturday.

When police arrived, they found the ATV and its driver off the edge of the road. He had died on the scene.

No one else was involved in the crash, the release said.
