A P.E.I. resident was transported to hospital following a snowmobile collision late Monday night.

Kensington police responded to the collision that took place on Linwood Drive where a male driver lost control of the snowmobile he was operating.

The driver sustained injuries and was transported to Prince County Hospital by Island EMS.

The accident is currently under investigation and Kensington Police Service will provide a further update once their investigation is completed.
