Police charge Charlottetown man with assault, forcible confinement

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 67-year-old Charlottetown man faces charges after police responded to a domestic violence complaint at 9:45 p.m. on Jan. 11.

As a result of the investigation, Charlottetown police charged the man with assault with a weapon and forcible confinement.

The accused has been released from custody with conditions to have no contact with the victim and will appear in provincial court at a later date.
