GLACE BAY, N.S. — A 51-year old Glace Bay man is in hospital in Halifax suffering from head injuries following an assault at his home Monday night.
A spokesperson with the Cape Breton Regional Police said at about 11:30 p.m. officers responded to a Brookland Street residence and were told a man entered the home and assaulted the male occupant before running out the door.
The man was taken by EHS to Cape Breton Regional Hospital and later transferred by Life Flight to Halifax for treatment of head injuries.
A woman in the home was not injured.
According to police, this is an isolated incident and it remains under investigation.
