ESKASONI, N.S. — The annual pride parade in Eskasoni was held Sunday as part of the fourth annual Kepmitelsi Eskasoni Pride week.

"I find gay pride (week) is one of the best weeks of the year. It's fun," said 11-year-old Allan Sylliboy who is in Grade 5 at Eskasoni Elementary and Middle School. "And the drag queens and kings, they are so much fun too. People need to come together like this more than just once a year."

The parade took place on the last day of the four-day festival and went from Allison Bernard Memorial School to the Sarah Denny Memorial Cultural Centre where closing ceremonies were held after.
