A teenager from the Siksika Nation died early Tuesday morning after a fatal rollover crash south of Strathmore.
The collision happened around 5:15 a.m., Mounties say, when a vehicle travelling eastbound on Township Road 232 near Range Road 250 went off the road, entering a ditch. The vehicle rolled several times before it came to a stop, and a 17-year-old male from Siksika Nation was pronounced dead on scene.
Three other people were in the vehicle at the time and all were transported to Calgary hospitals. One was taken STARS air ambulance with another two taken by ground ambulance. Mounties say all are in stable condition.
AN RCMP collision analyst attended the scene. The cause of the collision and its circumstances remain under investigation by RCMP.
