Its 5C in metro on a windy Remembrance Day morning with a slightly cooler temperature expected as the day progresses.

Environment Canada predicts the day will be mainly cloudy with a 60 per cent chance of showers in the St. John’s metro region.  Winds will be southwest 40 km/h gusting to 70.  Temperatures will be falling to plus 3 this morning then should remain steady.

Tonight is expected to be mainly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers early this evening. Clearing late this evening. Wind will be west 40 km/h gusting to 60. The low is expected to be -2 C.

Sunday will bring a mix of sun and cloud near noon. Wind will be northwest 30 km/h gusting to 50 becoming west 20 near noon. A high of 3C is expected.

Sunday evening will bring cloudy periods and a low of zero.
