Criminal justice system summit being held in Gander this week

GANDER, N.L. – An invite-only summit on Newfoundland and Labrador’s criminal justice summit will take place at the Albatross Hotel in Gander tomorrow, June 14.

The day-long event, which is being organized by the Department of Justice and Public Safety, will focus on how the criminal justice system is currently operating and will look to come up with ways to collaboratively fix challenges.

Justice and Public Safety Minister Andrew Parsons will be on hand to deliver the opening remarks.

Representatives from Indigenous groups, the criminal justice system and other community groups are participating in the summit.
