C.B.S., N.L. — Early Thursday morning, shortly after 1:30 a.m., the RNC was called to the area of a restaurant in C.B.S. after they received a report of a man driving under the influence.

The suspect was stopped and the 27-year-old driver was issued a seven-day driving suspension for operating with a blood alcohol over the provincial limit. He was also issued a summary offence ticket for having open liquor in the vehicle.

The man was released but his vehicle was impounded
