On Monday, Nov. 12 Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP, assisted by the Crime Prevention Unit and Labrador Traffic Services, conducted a checkpoint on Route 520.

Approximately 70 vehicles were checked and 10 drivers were issued tickets. One driver was found operating a vehicle with a suspended licence, while five others were operating vehicles with expired registrations.

Labrador Traffic Services reminds motorists that vehicle registration expires the last day of the month shown on the registration document and stickers must be renewed annually. Vehicle registration renewal reminders are no longer sent by mail; however, you can receive reminders by email.
