Firefighters made quick work of a shed fire in Mount Pearl Sunday afternoon but not before the inside of the structure was extensively damaged by smoke and flames.
The fire was called in at about 2:30 p.m. by the homeowner who noticed smoke coming from his shed and when firefighters arrived, there was heavy smoke coming from the building. They quickly laid and attack line and hosed down the inside of the building while using a flame-detecting camera to locate hotspots.
The nearby home and a smaller shed were undamaged.
The RNC is investigating the incident.
