Customers will get a break at the pumps starting today as the Public Utilities Board dropped the maximum price of gas by 4.9 cents per litre (cpl).
Gas stations on the Avalon peninsula can now charge a maximum of $1.34 per litre.
In fact, all fuel prices came down a little as of 12:01 a.m. Thursday morning.
Diesel dropped 2.1 cents per litre, furnace oil by 1.99, and stove oil by 1.73. Propane saw the most modest decrease at one cent per litre.
The next price change is set for next Thursday, Oct. 25.
