Gray skies and the forecast of rain couldn't dampen the plans for Family Fun Day in Grand Falls-Windsor.

Held inside the Joe Byrne Memorial Stadium in the community, the fun day featured games, live entertainment, face painting and a variety of bouncy castles that brought in hundreds of people.

Outside, a pair of horses kept children entertained as they gave them rides.

The event was penultimate event of the 2019 Exploits Valley Salmon Festival which started last Thursday. The 35th version of the popular celebrations is scheduled to conclude this evening with fireworks emanating from Centenniel Field at dusk.
