HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY, N.L. — A Happy Valley-Goose Bay man is facing charges for uttering threats after the principal at Mealy Mountain High School contacted the RCMP around lunchtime today, Jan. 30.
According to a RCMP release, the principal alleged a student had received a death threat from the man and he had also uttered death threats towards occupants of the school.
Officers were sent to the school, while other members from the Happy Valley-Goose Bay detachment searched for the suspect.
The man was located and arrested without incident a short time later, the release noted. He is currently in custody and will appear in court on Thursday morning, Jan. 31.
The investigation is continuing.
