American comedian and late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel recently featured the Newfoundland community of Dildo on his late-night talk show, “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
Obviously, Kimmel was poking fun at the community’s unique name, which is nothing new for the Newfoundland town.
“I can’t believe it took me 51 years of my life to find out about (this),” Kimmel said at the start of the skit. He then played an NTV news clip featuring two residents of Dildo who provide boat tour experiences.
“I love, like, Dildo,” one woman says in the clip, which caused Kimmel’s audience to roar with laughter.
Kimmel then says: “Pack your things we’re taking the show to Dildo!”
“I want to know everything about this place. I want to go there; I want to buy t-shirts … How did we not know about this place? I feel Canada has been hiding its Dildo from us.”
