One man was brought to hospital after a stabbing was reported at a home on Springdale Street around noon Saturday.

Emergency responders and a heavy police presence were noted at the house just after midday following the stabbing, which was confirmed by police early Sunday morning.

When the Telegram arrived on scene, one police cruiser was still parked across the street from 74 Springdale Street and plainclothes RNC officers were seen entering and leaving the home as well as entering a home across the street.

The incident is now under investigation by the RNC's Criminal Investigation Division.

This is not the first time that this home has been the subject of police attention. On January 30, 2017, police were called to a shooting incident in one of the apartments in the building.
