Central Regional Winner: Emily Byrne (Age: 11, Grade 6, Helen Tulk Elementary);
Labrador Regional Winner: Kelsey Jacque (Age: 14, Grade 9, B. L. Morrison All Grade School);
Straits Regional Winner: Angel Dyson (Age: 10, Grade 5, Sacred Heart All Grade);

The Design and Story contest is held each year by the Historic Sites Association of Newfoundland and Labrador as a warmup for the Heritage Fairs. Students from Grade 4 to 12 interpret the annual historical theme in drawings and accompanying stories.
This year's theme was "Service and Sacrifice: Shaping Our Culture," which attracted entries from 285 students.
