The Downtown St. John’s Busker Festival took place over the weekend.

Friday evening shows were postponed due to rain, but on Saturday morning the three festival areas were bustling.

Performances took place at Harbourside Park, Solomon’s Lane and the Scotia Centre deck.

Six performers kept people entertained every hour from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, including: Winnipeg husband and wife acrobats The Street Circus; Australia’s Reuben Dotdotdot; Amsterdam hula hoop artist Lisa Lottie; Mexico’s acrobatic comedian Pancho Libre; as well as local puppeteer Jake Thompson and living statue Vanessa Cardoso.

Children and families also enjoyed Magic Smiles Alliance face painting, NL Party Animals balloon creations, Josh Martell’s spray paint artwork, and the Rogers Ignite interactive television display.

This is the 15th year for the annual three-day event.
