ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — An anonymous donation to the City of St. John's Animal Care and Adoption Centre will help up to 36 cats get adopted to new homes completely free of charge.

Starting noon on Wednesday, Nov. 27, the cost of the first 36 approved cat adoptions will be covered by the anonymous donation which covers the following:

  • full medical examination by our staff veterinarian
  • spaying/neutering
  • first vaccination
  • felv test
  • dewormed
  • microchip
  • flea treated
  • pet insurance
  • kitten care booklet

The shelter is extending its hours that day to be open to the public from noon to 6:30 p.m. Regular hours are noon to 4 p.m. on Tuesday to Friday and 3-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
