ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — The Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corp. (NLC) announced Thursday that ongoing investigations have resulted in arrests and the seizure of contraband cannabis.
On Tuesday, members of NLC’s regulatory compliance and enforcement unit, with the assistance of the RNC and Canada Post postal inspectors, carried out a search at a St. John’s business that resulted in the arrests of two men, the NLC stated in a news release.
Cannabis and cash seized during the search included 5.6 kg of dried flower, 3.2 kg of concentrates, 22 vape pens, 179 one-gram packs of shatter, 255 one-gram concentrated oil syringes, 40 30-ml bottles of CBD oil, 105 grams of cannabis edibles, 16 30-ml bottles of THC tincture, 15 cannabis seeds, 755 grams of cannabis topicals and $24,974.15 in cash, the NLC stated.
The release states that to further its mandate of providing a safe and secure supply of non-medical cannabis, the NLC will continue to work with its partners in law enforcement to disrupt the illicit market.
