Assault with a weapon leads to man’s arrest in Mount Pearl

Mount Pearl, N.L. — The RNC arrested a 52-year-old man Wednesday evening shortly before 7:30 p.m. after it was reported he assaulted someone at a home in Mount Pearl.

The man was charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.

The victim did not seek medical treatment at the time. The victim and the accused knew each other.

The man was held at the lockup for a court appearance this morning.
