A man wanted in connection with an attempted armed robbery of a woman’s vehicle is believed to be in the Conception Bay North area.
Carl Earle, 31, is believed to be responsible for the incident, which happened Thursday afternoon in the parking lot of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital.
Police are urging members of the public to not approach Earle and to call the RNC or RCMP immediately if they have any information on his whereabouts.
The attempted robbery happened at about 1 p.m., when Earle reportedly tried to take control of a woman’s car.
When he was unsuccessful, he ran away before officers arrived. The woman was not injured.
RNC patrol services division, criminal investigation division, police dog services and forensic investigation services responded.
Investigators are also interested in speaking with any potential witnesses.
