ST. JOHN’S, NL – A Bay Roberts man is receiving an award for saving his grandson’s life.
According to a news release from St. John Ambulance, Clarence Russell performed back blows on the boy, 11, who was choking.
The organization is recognizing eight individuals from Newfoundland and Labrador for acts of bravery today, May 24.
They will be presented with life-saving awards during a ceremony at the Anglican Cathedral in St. John’s this afternoon.
