GRAND FALLS-WINDSOR, NL – Police are on the hunt for a suspect who broke into Alteen’s Jewellers in Grand Falls-Windsor this morning, May 18, and made off with jewellery and watches.
According to a news release from the RCMP, the break-in at the High Street business occurred around 4:20 a.m.
Police say a lone man entered the store by breaking the front door. Inside, he smashed open a display case. After collecting some items, he fled from the scene.
Police dog services, the forensic identification section and general investigation section in Grand Falls-Windsor are all involved in the ongoing investigation.
