ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — The Canada Post processing plant in St. John’s began partial operations on Friday and continued over the weekend, a press release from Canada Post said.

Parcels had remained unprocessed at the plant, which the press statement describes as their key hub, since Thursday, January 16.

Their priorities are “socio-economic cheques, parcels and packets,” the statement said, which they say are being processed as quickly as possible.

An effort to clear snow from community mailboxes is also ongoing, as they try to get back to regular operations while being respectful of the “continued extensive efforts to clear the snow and restore vital services.”
