Canadian Red Cross assists family after house fire in Peterview

PETERVIEW, N.L. — There were no injuries as a result of a house fire that displaced a family of four in central Newfoundland on Monday, March 18.

According to a news release from the Canadian Red Cross, the blaze damaged a bungalow in Peterview, just south of Botwood.

Temporary lodging was arranged for a couple and two young children.

Volunteers with the organization from Grand Falls-Windsor came to their aid with emergency purchases like clothing, food and other basics, the release indicated.
