The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary arrested a 41-year-old man in Goulds at 11 p.m. Tuesday after it was reported he was chasing another car through the community.
After investigating the call, the RNC arrested the man and charged him with assault with a weapon.
He was charged and released after the incident.
There were no injuries.
In a another call, the RNC stopped a vehicle that was driving erraticaly around 1:30 a.nm. on Prince Philip Drive in St. John's.
The 28-year-old male driver was charged with impaired driving adn failing the breathalyzer.
He was charged and released to appear in court at a later date in addition to his vehicle being impounded.
