The male driver of car was taken to hospital Saturday night following a violent crash that destroyed the vehicle and left serious damage to a traffic pole in Mount Pearl.
The collision happened at the intersection of Blackmarsh Road and Topsail Road and when the Telegram arrived on scene, the victim was lying on the median being treated by paramedics. It's unknown how he exited the car.
The car was sitting in the middle of the road with extensive damage to its front end and the light pole had substantial damage at its base.
It’s not believed that the driver's injuries are life-threatening and the RNC is investigating the incident.
