A car crashed into the front of a Marie's Mini Mart on Torbay Road in an overnight robbery.

The vehicle, with an untold number of occupants, fled the scene before Royal Newfoundland Constabulary patrol services arrived on the scene.

The store front suffered significant damage and some products were stolen.

The RNC is investigating.
