ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — A Bell Mobility cellphone tower that collapsed at 49 Blackmarsh Rd. onto the roof of the Campbell Party Rentals building, causing the evacuation of St. Pat’s Bowling Lanes on Feb. 28, will be replaced, according to the St. John’s city council agenda for March 30.

It says council approved a new tower in a special meeting held March 23.

The new cell tower will be located at 11 Ropewalk Pl.

Council documents say it’s anticipated the tower will be a temporary installation for roughly three months.
