A 27-year-old man has is facing a slew of charges in connection to an incident at a gas station in Conception Bay South on New Year’s Day.
Just after 7 a.m., the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary was called to the C.B.S. highway business in response to a disturbance between a man and a woman. Witnesses on the scene reported to police that the man and woman left the area in a vehicle before police arrived.
The duo were located a short time later at the woman’s residence where police observed the man feeling on foot from the rear of the home. He was eventually taken into custody on Topsail Road in C.B.S.
As a result of the investigation, the man has been charged with assault with a weapon causing bodily harm, robbery, dangerous driving, breaching an emergency protection order, and numerous other criminal code and traffic offences.
