PORT AUX BASQUES, NL - Marine Atlantic ferries are delayed this morning due to high winds. Today’s 11:45 am sailings have been cancelled and will instead depart at 23:45.

Environment Canada has issued a gale wind warning for the southwest coast with gusts up to 90 km/h. Rain, heavy at times, is projected for later today and this evening and should taper off on Tuesday. The Southwest coast will see anywhere from 30mm to 60mm of rain.

The winds are also preventing transport trailers from passing through The Wreckhouse.
