The Harbour Grace RCMP said the accident happened around 3:15 p.m. on Route 80, between Heart's Desire and Heart's Content.
The man was ejected from the vehicle after it crossed the highway and rolled into the ditch.
He was transported to Carbonear General Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
An RCMP collision analyst attended the scene and conducted an investigation. In addition, the medical examiner was engaged. The investigation is continuing.
According to the RCMP, impairment by drugs or alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
