Shortly before 5 a.m. Sunday, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) officers in Corner Brook responded to a report that items were stolen from parked vehicles in a residential area of the city.
According to an RNC report, officers arrested two suspects, a man and woman, and after investigating, learned that the 21-year-old man had a court order with strict conditions. Upon arrest, the report says he was “assaultive and resistive” toward police.
The man was charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, five breaches of court order, breach of probation, and possession of stolen property. He was held to appear in court in the morning.
The 18-year-old woman was charged with possession of stolen property. She was released with a future court date.
