Glen Freake has pleaded not guilty to charges of uttering threats directed at staff and the property at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook.
Freake was not present when his matters were called in provincial court in Corner Brook on Wednesday afternoon.
Instead, a lawyer with legal aid, entered the pleas on his behalf.
The charges — uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and uttering threats to damage or destroy property — were laid following an incident at the hospital in August.
He’s also pleaded not guilty to six charges of failure to comply with a court order.
His trial on all eight charges has been set for March 27-28.
