ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — A routine traffic safety stop in west end St. John’s on Sunday evening turned up a driver with over $8,000 in outstanding fines.
Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officers determined the 23-year-old man had already had his license suspended and that his vehicle was not insured, resulting in further fines.
The man was released for court at a later date, but his vehicle was impounded by police.
