A home in Torbay suffered fire and significant smoke damage during an afternoon blaze and a family and their dog have been displaced.
The fire was reported by passersby on Karon Drive and when firefighters arrived, they found smoke coming from the home.
They laid attack lines, entered the home and quickly extinguished the fire but not before the damage was done.
There was one male and a dog home at the time but there were no injuries.
The RNC is investigating.
