St. John’s Regional Fire Department crews are tending to a “structure fire call” at 216 Duckworth Street in St. John’s, home of Choice for Youth.
The building was evacuated after reports of a smell of smoke and lingering smoke in the building.
Officials from the fire department say it appears to be minor in nature and likely an electrical issue.
Still, SJRFD has temporarily closed Duckworth between Prescott Street and Church Hill as a precaution.
