The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said in a news release that a search is on for a lone male suspect, who stole the goods from an O’Leary Avenue business on Sunday. The name of the store was not reported.

Staff reported the theft after attempts to stop the man failed. The suspect drove away in a vehicle described as a grey or dark-coloured Honda Civic, with no mirror on the driver’s side and damage to the window on the driver’s side.

Police provided the following description of the man: “The suspect is a male, described as thin build (approx. 5’8 to 5’10), 170 lbs, short dark hair and he was wearing jeans, a grey shirt with black sleeves and the brand name ‘Crooks and Castle’ on the front of the shirt. He was also wearing a baseball hat.”
