ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Crews from various St. John’s Regional Fire Department (SJRFD) stations were dispatched to a structure fire call at a residence on Guy Street in the Rabbittown area of St. John’s just before 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Upon arrival, the first responding crews from the central fire station were met with smoke issuing from the two front bedroom windows.

Once inside, after searching for any occupants, firefighters found a fire burning in the east-side bedroom of the home.

All occupants had escaped the home prior to the arrival of firefighters, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation by the RNC.
